What we collect

The event details you enter — occasion, event name, date, time, place, menu, and guests' first names for place cards — are used only to create your hosting package. We never ask for guests' emails or phone numbers, and you cannot upload photos.

When you buy, we collect your email address to create your account. Sign-in is by a one-time email link; there is no password. Payment details are handled by our payment provider, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.

Host concierge

The optional host concierge is AI-assisted. It receives only the answers you tap and an optional short note (up to 200 characters) — never your guests' names, your date or your address. We do not keep a transcript; only the plan you choose to use is saved with your gathering.

How long we keep things

• Unpurchased drafts are deleted automatically 30 days after you start them, from our servers and from your browser.
• Guest names in purchased gatherings are deleted automatically 90 days after the event date. The rest of the gathering (design, menu, timeline, checklists) stays in your account. We email you about 7 days before guest names are deleted.
• You can delete any gathering, or your whole account, at any time from My Gatherings. Deleting your account removes your gatherings and saved agreements.
• Before you save guest names or pay, we ask you to agree to these rules and record that you agreed and when.
• Purchase records needed for tax and accounting are kept by our payment provider as required by law. [Owner: confirm your accounting retention period.]

Advertising and cookies

Only if you accept in our cookie banner, we use the Meta Pixel (Facebook & Instagram) and Meta's Conversions API to measure page views, product views, checkouts started and purchases (including the price and currency). We may also send Meta your browser's technical details (IP address, browser type and Meta cookie IDs) with a purchase so it is counted once. We never send guest names, event details or concierge answers. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page; we also honor Global Privacy Control.

Emails

We send sign-in links, purchase confirmations and the guest-name deletion reminder from notify.betheperfecthost.com. We don't send marketing emails.
